Obama administration said a $300 million deal with the World Bank is the “tremendous opportunity” of the year

Obama said U.S. trade is high, and he warned other world leaders “don’t have to listen to us.”

Obama emphasized that other African nations have made good progress in negotiating climate action and that much of that progress is in places such as Kenya. In particular, “we continue to do what we need to do to protect those forests,” he said.

As part of his official trip this week, Obama will launch a series of meetings in the week ahead to coordinate efforts with top U.S. allies on the issue, including the United States, African leaders, other countries and other partners. And from that point forward, he said, “we will be talking to the entire world on climate change and we will hear about U.S. policy toward Africa. I think that is going to be the greatest opportunity that these presidents can have.”

Obama is also expected to visit Africa Tuesday, where U.S. scientists will try to work out how it will fare on emissions policies, he said.

In another video taken by a resident on Facebook, officers say a dog, apparently one of the dogs taken out for a run, was seen on CCTV barking frantically as the cat, in its burlap, tried to approach the van.

The cats were in the back of the trailer, where they were “rehabbed” for their last day on the home. All cats were taken to a vet.

In its statement the city said: “The City of Dar es Salaam considers this a crime against the cat and animal, a dangerous situation and is deeply concerned as pets are in danger every minute in Dar es
