The United States Attorney’s Office has charged three former members of Mr. Bensinger’s team, including former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.
The charges against the trio were all dropped. The three others will be prosecuted jointly with Assistant U.S. Attorney Kenneth A. P. Hahn and the former deputy U.S. Attorney in Washington, D.C., as part of a grand jury criminal investigation. https://jiji.ug/mukono
The charges are related to accusations against Mrs. Clinton by former top state and local, but not federal, officials. Mr. Hahn and Mr. Pezmai are not the first former members of Mr. Clinton’s team to face charges in connection with bribery.
The accusations against Mrs. Clinton come after the FBI on November 22 began working with President Clinton, looking at potential financial and business records and reviewing emails that came through the private server at Mr. Clinton’s home. They also uncovered emails that show Mr. Clinton was aware he was the subject of a scheme to extort foreign governments into taking bribes.
