I still prefer a more minimalist design aesthetic, instead of more elaborate signage and advertising designs. This isn’t exactly new, but there’s been a steady push for less traditional designs (especially ones that have been used before by shops to advertise their wares). However, even though a less well-established, less formal design does show up on more websites and the Internet, it often doesn’t really have a definite impact on the way retailers are advertising their wares. And, for most stores, that doesn’t mean they take advantage of this trend.

So, where else can we see some more minimalist signage now?

I’ve come up with some great suggestions here and there for many years (read this post where I go over some of the great ones, including an original version, and one of my favorite examples of this way to show off everything from your beloved signature items to your favorite holiday items). I don’t think this is going to hold the same popularity for the next three years.
